On August 11, 2021, the team of Zhaoming Su, the team of Kaiming Zhang of the University of Science and Technology of China, and the teams of Wah Chiu and Rhiju Das of Stanford University in the United States jointly published the latest research results online in the journal Nature—Cryo-EM Structures of Full-Length Tetrahymena Ribozyme at 3.1 Å Resolution. In this study, Cryo-EM single-particle was used to analyze the high-resolution structure of the full-length Tetrahymena ribozyme in the substrate-free state (apo) and the substrate-bound state (holo) for the first time.
